OK, well it is not silent today.
We have seen a lot of established blogger traditions around the internet: Wordless Wednesday, Photo Friday, the Saturday Pet Blogger Hop and more. As part of our new commitment to post 7-days a week we are starting our own tradition – Silent Sundays.
We like to provide you a lot of useful information and share all of our fun Adventures with you. You need a break from reading and we need a break from writing. In the future, we will post only a single photo on Sunday. I am a “talker” so it is going to take a lot of self control to not provide a caption or explanation but I am going to give it my best shot. Ha, ha.

UPDATE: We decided to join with two other bloggers and create a blog hop called Black and White Sunday since this posting.

I know what you mean. It is hard not to say anything. I almost feel like I should cheat and post a second time on Sunday just to write something. That would be defeating my purpose though

Great picture. And I think Silent Sunday is a great idea. I find many bloggers slow their output on the weekends. Sometimes you just need to live a little so you have something to write about when you get back to the blog.

I used to not post on weekends at all. Well, ok, I DID post for the Saturday pet blogger hop for a while but then I quit. My “reason” for doing so was that it was consistent with our nice of “out having adventures on the weekends”. I want to try posting 7 days a week for a while though so I thought this was the best of both worlds.
Silent Sunday is such a nice idea – and find having a weekly tradition so grounding! It’s assuring to know that every Tuesday we’ll post about food! Can’t wait to see all your pictures!

Thanks. I used to have an great editorial calendar that basically said X day will be X type of post (but subjects of that post varied). Since I had to take a break from blogging I fell of the wagon. Ha, ha. I am in the process of changing some things around on my blog and refocusing in some areas. Eventually I will have a new editorial calendar to reflect that.
