Whew! We made it back home from BlogPaws in one piece.
It was an amazing trip. We met up with our local friends from It’s a Weinerful Life and road tripped it down to Salt Lake City – making the entire 15-hour trip down in one day!
The trip down was a lot of fun. We played the alphabet game (find each letter of the alphabet on signs or license plates), chatted and sang along to songs a little to pass the time.
If you want to see what our trip was like from a real-time perspective, check out our recent posts on our Facebook Page if you haven’t already.
While were there we camped at the Salt Lake City KOA. It was way less expensive than a hotel and pretty much right around the corner. Chester and Gretel slept in the tent with me but I brought there little one for shade during the day….because it was hot, hot, hot!
The conference was great!
We learned a lot of things that will help us improve our blog and connect with our fans better. The food was amazing. We met some of our bestest blogger friends from Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Roxy the Traveling Dog, Dog Blogging with Luna and Kol’s Notes. We met a lot of vendors and picked up a lot of free, new products to try.
Boy are we exhausted from all of the mischief though! Eventually I will get to downloading the pictures I did manage to take over the weekend and telling you more about our trip but today is all about lazing around and recovering. For now all we can offer are these crappy cell phone photos

It was so much fun hanging out with you guys. We are pooped and we didn’t drive that far, you guys are probably wiped out. Hopefully we can meet up again in the future.
I hope so too. I wish we had more time. We weren’t ready to say goodbye to you guys
wow! Looks like you guys scored lots of stuff at Blogpaws! How great to meet up with a bunch of bloggy friends. It sounds like you had a great time. Camping sounds like it would have been not just affordable but fun too!

It WAS fun. I like sleeping in a tent and all of the outside noises don’t bother me. It was HOT though. A hotel would have came with air conditioning. Ha, ha.
Rooo, looks like you had so much fun – and wow, htat’s a lot of stuff to try out! I’ve never slept in a tent but I have a feeling I would woof at everything that moved outside *waggy tail*
Chester is pretty alert if there is noise outside but doesn’t bark much. If you hike and camp in the woods there are pretty much no noises at night. Camping in a tent next to a roadway can be more distracting
Your crappy cell phone pictures turned out way better than my crappy cell phone pictures! I’m just saying

Hi Y’all!
Y’all are so lucky to get to go! My Human won’t travel or let me travel unless absolutely necessary in the summer ’cause of the heat.
Stop to visit me tomorrow and pick up a Sunshine Award.
Y’all come back now,

The car had air conditioning and during the day they were in the air conditioned hotel with me for the conference. You have more fur than Chester and Gretel though
Can’t believe we didn’t get the chance to talk to you at BlogPaws! Sigh! Maybe next time! And I know what you mean… it’ll likely take us a week to recover from all the excitement!

I suggested to BlogPaws that they provide us all a list of who is there from what blogs. That is what they do at all trade conferences that I have been to. That way we would know who to look out for.
On the BlogPaws App, there is a contact list that is helpful. You can update/change your own info, too. I had a heck of a time trying to figure out who was going to attend so I could make up enough swag bags for the blogs we follow. Not many people responded to the RSVP list (like 40 people…) and many of my ‘broadcast’ requests didn’t help as much as I’d hoped. Last year, someone made up a spreadsheet doc, but I can’t remember who…

Hmmmm…BlogPaws ap? If I go next year I will need to be more proactive about finding all of the resources that are out there for us.
Ohmiwoof! I literally bolted upright in bed last night and exclaimed, “I never met Chester!” what the bark? How did I manage that. I did get to meet sweet little Gretel (and let me tell you folks, those eyes are every bit as enchanting as they look in the pictures!) I was so thrilled to meet you! I just can not wait until next year.

Chester is flattered that you were so compelled. I didn’t think of it either. He was there but just in doggie daycare because he had a hard time with ferrets and cats (or rather I had a hard time with him around them. Ha, ha)
Woof! Woof! Glad you enjoyed it … most likely meeting bloggie friends was exciting. Can’t believe you camp out. I heard it was HOT. Looking forward to read more about your trip. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar

It was great running into you guys there! I wish I had thought of staying at a campground, I ended up at the Motel 6 instead, which was nice and not nearly as expensive as the other hotels in the area. We need to get a full on road trip going with all us PNW bloggers next time!

I agree. W could caravan like a bunch of soccer Moms. Ha, ha. We stayed at a Motel 6 on the way back
Wow! look at all that you loot you got!
Sounds like you had a blast at BlogPaws and I love the fact that you camped out!

Wow! I think you got more swag than we did! I’m glad you made it home safe and sound. I found your business card on the swap tables, but I’m sorry we didn’t get to exchange in person. Maybe next year.
Happy Monday!

Hey Cloby. Well, I kind of felt like I “knew you” anyway because we were one of the finalists. Our video sucked though
Your’s was awesome! Making little videos like that is something I need to learn how to do ASAP.
Welcome Home…waiting patiently for your stories!

Hey Guys,
It was SO much fun to hang out with you all – I know just how you feel about being wiped out – I’m still trying to recover from all the fun!!
I’m already excited about next year – as always, I’m assuming Mum will find a way to get me to the East Coast!!
Big wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy

I was all “wah”, the East coast is too far for us to go. However, I am already trying to justify going
I don’t think I will drive this time though. Ha, ha.
It’s so great reading about BlogPaws from your post! Thank you!

Glad to know you survived the drive home. Must say I’m a little jealous of the camping. I should have traded with you–I hate air conditioning.

Well, shall we say, it was a little warm in the ol’ tent. Way cheaper than a hotel though and more adventurous
What a great time we had at BlogPaws! SLC is so beautiful too. Have you gotten a chance to try out our Sentry Good Behavior products? I see in the picture that you brought them home. YAY! Please let me know what you think and if you’d be interested in writing a review of the products. Thank you! ~Nichole, Sergeant’s Pet Care Products
Thanks for stopping by Nichole. Yes, I did bring them home. I tried the collar and the “stop barking” noise/spray. The collar didn’t seem to be effective for us. The noise spray worked for the barky dog but scared the sh*t out of my other one
. I still have the regular spray to go. If you would like a review of the noise spray, let me know.
I really think we should consider going next year … would you go again?
I would do it again for sure! I probably won’t be able to go next year unless someone miraculously offers to sponsor me though. I am paying to go to the East Coast for BarkWorld in November to check that one out. I don’t think I can afford to fly back east twice in one year
In 2014 BlogPaws will be somewhere out west again I will probably go.
Know how you feel, there are so many places we’d like to go and can’t. Bills to pay and all that!
Would love to go when you are there and meet you in person – even if we can’t sit at the Weiner table!!LOL!
Thanks for responding and for a great and INTERESTING blog!
We had dogs of other nationalities at our table too
We would be sure to make room for you.
