I Can’t Keep My Mouth Shut!

I am so excited that I want to shout from the rooftops! I just found out something amazing this morning and wanted to share.

This is breaking news people. You are one of the first in the country to find out.

Do you remember us talking about the amazing, progressive rescue we adopted Gretel from, Motley Zoo Animal Rescue? Well they are launching an amazing project that will revolutionize the pet-adoption world (not that they aren’t already).

Up to this point they have been a strictly foster-based rescue. That means that individuals and families look after each one of their pets in theirs homes, and love them like they would their own, until they can find the pets their “furever” homes.

Here is a little more about Motley Zoo and their style of doing things:

“Founded in 2009, we have rescued over 850 pets, primarily dogs and cats- though we have helped the occasional ferret, guinea pig, bird, and even a cow! We’re a “rock-n-roll”, cool crew, and we do things a bit differently! While in our care, we call our pets “roadies”, and when they get adopted, they become “rock stars”! Our pets and people love our fresh, forward thinking and unique approach…and we’re eager to keep on rockin’ rescue, well into the future!”

Anyway, the amazing news is that they are finally taking steps to built themselves a real facility which will enable them to do even more good things. They will need a lot of support to get there but they know their community is loyal and wants to see them succeed.
