As you know, I own TWO dogs. I have no less than 6 leashes, 4 harnesses, 3 collars, two nail trimmers, 5 dogs beds, 10 dog jackets, 6 bones in varying states of chewedness, 20 toys and about 15 bags of treats in the doggie storage closet. That is not including all of the one-offs like a can of wet food, calming treats, glucosamine drops, coconut oil, training treat bag, clicker, etc.
I stopped making excuses or trying to justify my purchases. Now I just buy up crap for not apparent reason.
I WAS able to justify one recent purchase. I bought Chester yet another leash and collar (by the way, they never actually wear collars because I use harnesses…but you know, just in case).
Remember that doggie tux I bought Chester for our wedding? It fits on….you guessed it….a collar.
Now, I know that Chester is short, only about one inch of the collar shows underneath the tux and he will only be briefly whisked in front of the guests to deliver Shawn’s ring but, hey, the collar should match the tux right?
I bought him a collar in my wedding colors to match the tux (By Red Dingo).
I also bought a leash in the same colors (by Bella Bark & Meow)
Now the leash I can justify. It will be more visible when Chester and Gretel come down the isle and I am going to use a leash splitter at the end so the leash is actually for Chester AND Gretel.
The truth is, I just wanted an excuse to buy more stuff. I want a third dog to buy more stuff for 🙂
Are you with me on this one? Do you have the same problem?
