Weiner-Q

Since the beginning of the summer I have been looking at my back yard and longing to fill it will weiner dogs. A couple of weekends ago, after one of our weiner dog walks, I invited a few of our doggie (and human) friends over for a barbecue.

There were about 10 weiner dog owners there with two “posers” (My aunt and step-mom decided to hang out and join in the fun). We ate…what else?…German Bratwurst and Hot Dogs. I also had some treats for the dogs. I had some little doggie muffins I picked up from Poochapalooza the day before that I decorated with Kong Stuff’N “frosting” and I cut up some doggie-size fruit bites for the healthier among us.

The real treat for the dogs, and the most entertaining, is when I served the Yoghund Organic Frozen Yogurt for Dogs. Some dogs left theirs and other dogs had *ahem* more than one. We had to take them away because some dogs (Chester and Sunny) would have visited all the cups until they were gone. Chester was too funny because every time I would get near him with the camera he thought I was trying to steal his goody so he would snatch up his yogurt cup and slink away from me.

I spent most of the barbecue with my nose in the camera so, as usual, didn’t get to mingle as much as I would have liked but a fun time was had by all. The weather was great. The conversation was great. Having all of those doggies in my back yard at once was awesome.

Here are some of the best pictures

I just found your site and I love it! I have a 12-year-old mini myself.

I like the photo of all the dogs scattered about running in the yard. It reminds me of that older cellphone commercial with the dachshunds running wild.

That really does look like a fun BBQ – and the food for the pups, that looked and sounded pawsome!

Mum’s seen that Yoghound, but has yet to bring some home for me to sample, come on Mum, I think I’d love it! :)

    Glad you’re having fun,

    Your pal Snoopy :)
