Around Valentine’s Day, I was still recovering from my surgery. I wanted to make this party special by actually mailing the invitation cards. I wasn’t going to have the time or energy to address and send the cards myself though.
To the rescue came Nicole at Sent-Well Cards. It was awesome because I got to pick the card design, and what I wanted to cards to say inside, but she did the writing, addressing, stamping. All I had to do was send her the info and they got sent out while I was still drugged up on the couch with Chester and Gretel.
The cards turned out super cute.
I chose our favorite indoor play date spot – Seattle’s K9 Fun Zone – and we met there the Tuesday before Valentine’s Day. I bought fancy cupcakes, made little gift packages, and bought all of the dogs a special Valentines toy.
The weenies had a blast playing around on the agility equipment for an hour. All of the pet parents mingled. The time went way to fast.
Everyone get invitations to events today through Facebook, evite and emails. I wanted to go “retro” and actually send people something in the mail. Mailed invitation cards gave the event a fancier feel because they are more personal. I’m already eyeing this awesome doggy cards for invitations to Chester’s Birthday party in September.
This post is sponsored by Sent-Well Cards. I am being compensated for my time spent helping spread the word about this card service and received my invitations free-of-charge in exchange for my honest review. Here at YouDidWhatWithYourWiener, free does not equal good though. Everything said here is really how I feel.
