This past weekend we had the pleasure if meeting Felix and Kol from the award-winning Kol’s Notes blog. That’s a perk to living “down the street” from them.
Our visit meant another Canadian border crossing and a 2-hour, butt-clinching drive back in the pouring rain. I don’t know if you live where it rains a lot but the windshield wipers couldn’t move fast enough to keep the view rain-free. Rain was coming from above in buckets and from below (spray off the highway) in this constant, obscuring, fine mist. Really, we didn’t almost see an accident happen right it front of us. Really.
Jodi, Kol and Felix’s Mom, is best known for her dog-treat baking, craftiness and dog-friendly home and garden projects. She had a grand day of crafts planned for us but Vancouver, BC weather was just as dreary and un-motivating as the Seattle weather that day. We tried to make embroidery-thread, friendship-bracelet collars for the dogs (yes, I am old enough to remember spending hours making them).
This is exactly how far I got
I spent the rest of the time making messes like these
Even though we weren’t crafting wizards that day, we had a lot of fun and feel lucky that we got to spend the day with the Kol’s Notes clan.
