This reminder is for myself but I know some of you need to hear it too. I'm so guilty of constantly moving the goal post forward then being hard on myself for not reaching it. I've been working on being kinder to myself. . 👏 My photography HAS improved over the years. When I look back to photos from 5 years ago, that is clear to me. . 👏 I AM making progress with Summit and Gretel's training. Summit already knows more commands than Chester and Gretel did. It turns out, with a little effort on my part, Gretel has a pretty solid recall. . 👏 I HAVE made my dream come true. 12 years ago I imagined working for myself, setting my own schedule, spending all day with my dogs, and hiking several times a week. I built up my blog to replace my previous job's income and bought a little house in a mountain town. Through my hard work and dedication, I made it all happen. (I recognize how privileged I am that I was able to persue this dream and the opportunities that were given to me along the way). . 👏 I CAN set a goal and stick with it.. I've always dreamed of hiking every day. I set a small goal of hiking 6 days in a row this week and I'm making it happen despite not feeling well every day. . What have you accomplished that you don't give yourself enough credit for?">

I mean, my 4Runner does usually have mud on it after exploring miles of dirt roads but it's more like a few splashes. . Sometimes we hike and sometimes we drive random dirt roads (on public land), with the music cranked up, to see where they take us. Sometimes it's nowhere and sometimes we discover a new trail, dispersed camping spot, or mountain view. . Luckily, Summit and Gretel don't mind loud music or bump, bump, bumpy roads 😁">
