12 Great Dachshund Halloween Costume Ideas
For those that like to dress up their dog (and for those dogs who truly like to wear clothes), Halloween is a fun time of year.
And it seems that nobody likes to dress up their dog more than wiener dog owners.
Most cities will have at least one dog-themed Halloween event where there may be competitions, games, costume judging contests.
Here are a few of my favorites around Seattle.

City Dog Magazine’s Halloween Muttmixer
This is a fun social event with costume contest. Awesome prizes are awarded to several different costume categories including best pack (group), best dog + owner pair, funniest, most original, and scariest.

Paddywack Pet Store Howl-o-Ween
A pet trick or treating event benefiting the 4H Little Rascals Club and The Squeaky Toy.

Dachshund Halloween Costume Ideas
So you have a place to go, or maybe you just want to dress your pet up for pictures, but you need some Dachshund costume inspiration.
Here are some of the cute dogs and costumes I’ve seen an various Halloween-themed dog events I’ve been to.

BOL!!! We love dogs in costumes!!
Oh very cute! Too bad it was cold and rainy. All that work on the costumes only to get all soggy in the rain. I guess waterproof was the way to go!
I love the costumes! Dogs in costume make me smile even more than children. Maybe we’ll get doggie trick or treaters on Monday night 🙂
